Hi! I am Divya, UX Designer currently based in San Jose, CA. I'm a developer-turned-designer with a passion for problem-solving through both code and design. Currently working as a UX Designer at Guidewire Software, where I focus on leveraging user experience principles to design solutions that enhance clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness for users navigating complex insurance workflows for Enterprise Data-Driven Products at Guidewire.
My Design Values
Emphasizing that addressing issues thoroughly and thoughtfully is ultimately more efficient than relying on quick fixes, which may accumulate UX debt over time
Creating product designs that align with the needs of three essential entities: your company, the business clients you sell products to, and the end users who interact with the product.
Empowering users to make informed decisions by providing assistance and guidance to users in a way that doesn't disrupt their natural workflow or force them into decisions.

I was very impressed with the quality of her work, as well as her willingness to adapt to new information and refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders and developers. She demonstrated a fantastic set of design skills throughout the process, from initial requirements gathering through design execution and development support. She spearheaded an internal research project to get answers in service of a stronger design vision on her project, independently moderating interviews with representative end users and presenting a strong analysis. I attended with the intention of stepping in to help if needed only to find that Divya was a more than capable interviewer, getting to the heart of feedback with well considered questions and handling technical hiccups with grace.
